12 Best Biggest Playgrounds In Northeast Ohio — CLE With Kids (2024)

Written By Cleveland With Kids

My kids get so excited when we pull up to a huge playground full of their favorite play equipment. I often find myself thinking back to when I was a kid, and these kinds of playgrounds just weren’t around. At least they weren’t around the playgrounds I grew up visiting. I know I would’ve been just as excited as they are when we visit!

This is a list of the twelve biggest and best playgrounds we’ve found in and around the Cleveland area. Each listing has important features and must-knows for when you visit. There’s also a map below to help you see an overview of the general areas they’re in.

Oh my--we LOVE Preston's H.O.P.E.! It's 60,000 square feet of fun! It's an amazing playground, AND it's wheelchair accessible. ❤️ It’s an older playground that could definitely use some TLC (and maybe some fresh coats of paint), but my kids still have the best time whenever we visit.

We think it's one of the best Cleveland area playgrounds on the east side.

Some of our favorite things here are

  • The dinosaur play pit.

  • Tiny town with buildings you can go inside.

Neura Park is an inclusive playground. This is definitely one of the largest playgrounds we have visited. With two types of zip-lines, swings, a rock wall, an accessible merry-go-round, a large structure with awesome slides, a music station, and so much more.

They also have soft ground instead of mulch, which we always love, and the playground is mostly fenced-in.

Definitely add this to your summer playground bucket list!

This playground was recently remodeled. They kept the already existing playground equipment for the remodel and added much more wheelchair-accessible equipment, which is amazing!

My kids were so excited about the new obstacle course that included a rock wall that twists and bends as you climb.

One of the added accessible elements is a nice ramp with music equipment at the top of the structure.

Another new addition is a zip line with a strapped-in seat, so more kids can enjoy it while staying safe. There's also an accessible swing set on site.

The large main structure is unlike anything we’ve seen. It consists of two large towers connected by a climbing net. This was both of my kids’ favorite feature.

Other amazing things:
💙 Zipline
💙 Rope swing
💙 Obstacle course
💙 Double person swings
💙 Accessible swings
💙 Accessible carousel
💙 Toddler structure
💙 Sandpit

And more!

Honestly, this is probably the coolest playground we’ve been to, and I think it was totally worth the 45-minute drive from the Cleveland area.
