It’s like Christmas morning for a lot of NFL fans when it comes to the draft. If you are a fan of the Ohio State football team, there’s a good chance you are also a fan of an NFL team, maybe even the Cleveland Browns or Cincinnati Bengals.

Even if not, we’re sure you’re keeping tabs on where all of the former Ohio State players are selected during all the pomp and circ*mstances involved with the annual draft. It is, in fact, the best draft of all the major sports, and since Ohio State is an NFL football factory that takes a back seat to nobody, you can bank on plenty of Scarlet and Gray parading across the stage or scrolling through the bottom of your television or streaming device.

We keep track of all the OSU players selected every year, and we’re doing it again this draft season with our Ohio State football 2024 NFL draft tracker. Here’s a look at former Buckeye, when they are selected, and by what team. We update it in as real time as possible throughout the entire draft.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Wide Receiver

Selection: No. 4 to the Arizona Cardinals | First Round

Harrison was widely considered the best receiver in the draft, and he went higher than any other Ohio State receiver in NFL draft history. He has elite skills, a strong work ethic and won the Biletnikoff last season. He could be a starter immediately for the Cardinals and will push for playing time right away.

Michael Hall, Defensive Tackle

USA TODAY SMG

Selection: No. 54 to the Cleveland Browns | Second Round

Some projections think Hall could slide into the end of the first round but that’s a slim shot at best. Still, the tape doesn’t lie. When Hall was healthy, he was an explosive force on the defensive line that could translate well into the next level and he hasn’t even reached his full potential yet. The Browns will try to further develop him on the interior.

Cade Stover, Tight End

USA TODAY SMG

Selection: No. 123 to the Houston Texans | Fourth Round

Tight ends don’t often go high in the draft, and that’ll most likely be the case here aside from Georgia’s Brock Bowers, but Stover is one of the best remaining on the board. He has elite blocking skills, but is perhaps even more dangerous in the passing game with his toughness and dog attitude. He could be one of the steals of the draft for the Texans especially with him reuniting with his college quarterback, C.J. Stroud.

Tommy Eichenberg, Linebacker

USA TODAY

Selection: No. 148 to the Las Vegas Raiders | Fifth Round

Think of Tommy Eichenberg much like what we saw from Pete Werner’s stock when it rose in the draft. While Werner was perhaps faster, Eichenberg reads plays and gets involved with great instincts a little more. He’s tough as nails as a bit of a throwback and there’s going to be a NFL general manager that likes what he sees and it’s no surprise the Raiders were willing to pull the trigger as a value pick here.

Josh Proctor, Safety

USA TODAY SMG

Selection: Signed undrafted free agent contract with Jacksonville Jaguars

Perhaps no Ohio State player improved his status with the NFL draft more than Josh Proctor by coming back for one more season. He was finally able to stay on the field healthy and put together some pretty good film. He has the length and ranginess that should translate well to the NFL and now its all about finding the right fit and situation to continue his development at the next level. Is it Jacksonville?

Steele Chambers, Linebacker

USA TODAY SMG

Selection: Signed undrafted free agent contract with Detroit Lions

While Chambers wasn’t as productive last year, you can see the ability when you turn on the film. He’s big and fast and can cover in space, attributes that are coveted in today’s NFL game. He’ll have to elbow his way onto a roster via the undrafted free agent route and will get his first crack at it in Detroit.

Xavier Johnson, Wide Receiver

Joseph Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Selection: Signed as undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills

Johnson’s story is a great one and he continues to prove people round. He’s slippery in traffic, runs great routes, and has an unbelievable work ethic. He didn’t get invited to the NFL combine, so maybe the writing was on the wall for him to have to work his way onto a roster via the undrafted free agent route. He’ll get a crack up in Buffalo.

Matt Jones, Offensive Guard

USA TODAY SMG

Selection: Signed as undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins

Much more may have been expected of Jones last season, and there wasn’t a lot of buzz about him going in the actual draft itself through the weekend. He’ll have to work hard via the free agent route to try and find his way onto a roster and the Dolphins seem willing to give him a shot.

Miyan Williams, Running Back

Ohio State football 2024 NFL draft tracker (10)

USA TODAY SMG

Selection: Pending

I have to admit, it was a wee-bit perplexing to see Williams enter the NFL draft rather than come back or find something in the transfer portal. However, he has a lot of wear and tear on those tires and that could have affected his decision. He’s a tough back no doubt, but in today’s day and age, it’s going to be awfully hard for a team to take a chance on him in the draft. Look for Williams to get an invite to an NFL training camp as an undrafted free agent as well.
