The Hurry-Up: Four-star 2025 DT Malik Autry Offered on Ohio State Visit, 2026 WR Ryan Mosley Picks Up an OSU Offer and Jordon Davison Puts Buckeyes in Final Four (2024)

It may have been relatively low-key, but the past few days turned into a pretty significant recruiting weekend for Ohio State.

Four highly touted prospects in the 2025 class arrived in Columbus for unofficial visits, including offensive tackle David Sanders Jr., safety Trey Mcnu*tt, defensive end Zion Grady and defensive tackle Malik Autry.

The arrival of Sanders was notable, as it marked the second trip the No. 1 rated offensive tackle in the 2025 class has made to Columbus this spring and signaled that the Buckeyes are very much a factor in his recruitment. Mcnu*tt has been no stranger to Columbus, as Tim Walton and Matt Guerrieri continue to strengthen their relationship with the five-star prospect.

Of the four visitors, Autry was the only prospect that didn’t hold an Ohio Stateoffer entering the trip. That changed on Sunday.

Ryan Day and Larry Johnson extended the offer to the four-star Alabama prospect and hope to eventually flip him from his current Auburn commitment. The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Autry is considered the No. 184 prospect and the No. 22 defensive lineman in the 2025 cycle, according to247Sports’ composite rankings.

In his junior season, Autry recorded 56 tackles, nine tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks and a pass breakup. As a sophom*ore, he racked up 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery.

Autry has been committed to Auburn since February of 2023, so it will certainly take some work to eventually flip the talented prospect. But the Buckeyes at least have a puncher’s chance in his recruitment.

Both he and Grady, a fellow Alabama prospect, have scheduled official visits for June 21-23, so the Buckeyes will have another shot shortly to impress the defensive standouts.

Ryan Mosley picks up an Ohio Stateoffer

When Georgia 2026 wide receiver Ryan Mosley visited Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ spring game last month, wide receivers coach Brian Hartline told him he’d be in touch very soon.

Extremely Blessed & Grateful to receive an offer from @OhioStateFB Thank you @brianhartline @ryandaytime @CoachJoeyKing @TheCoach_Barge @JoshBarge12 @CarrolltonTroj1 @N_Murph @mickdwalker @Garrick_Hodge @DylanFreemanVP @ChadSimmons_ @Rivals @DemetricDWarren @AnnaH247 pic.twitter.com/m7VCiQuWPu

Mosley didn’t have to wait long for Hartline to make good on his promise, as he was offered by the Buckeyes on Monday.

Mosley doesn’t hold a composite ranking yetbut has earned 23 Division I offers, including Florida State, Louisville, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Indiana, Miami, Pittsburgh, SMU, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Washington State.

As mentioned previously, Mosley visited Ohio Statein April and the 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect was impressed by what he saw on the trip.

“The experience was great,” Mosley told Eleven Warriors after the visit. “It’s an awesome school and football program. Had a meeting with coach Hartline, he’s a stand-up guy who brings lots of energy to the field. He told me to keep working hard and he’ll be down to see me in May and wants to build a relationship with me. I really like him, he’s a receiver developer machine. I’m looking forward to going back.”

In his sophom*ore year, Mosley recorded 31 catches for 471 yards and seven touchdowns.

Jordon Davison down to four schools

One of Ohio State’s top remaining running back targets in the 2025 class has narrowed down his recruitment to four schools. Four-star California prospect Jordon Davison released a top four Sunday consisting of Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon and Alabama.

Davison had already built a close relationship with new Ohio Staterunning back coach Carlos Locklyn while he was at Oregon, and there's reason toconsider the Buckeyes the favorite for the Mater Dei productat the moment.

“I was actually an Ohio State fan growing up,” Davison said in June after attending an Ohio Staterecruiting camp. “So I always knew about the big tradition of the running backs at OSU.”

Davison will take an official visit to Ohio Statelater this summer and could make a decision by the end of the summer.

Faheem Delane sets official visit to Ohio State

It’s been no secret Mcnu*tt and four-star prospect Faheem Delane are Ohio State’s two top safety targets remaining for the 2025 class. Delane has visited Columbus multiple times in his recruitment and has locked in another visit, as he’ll be on campus June 7-9.

Ohio Stateis in a great position with Delane about a month before the visit, and the official will provide an opportunity for Walton and Guerrieri to hopefully close on one of their priority targets.
